4th Six Weeks – Mike Reynolds – Thematic Journal

My first day at Loyalsock Township High School as a freshman in 2007 wasn’t all that exciting. It was kind of like, “Oh boy another day of school.” (sarcastically) It was different because of the benefits of being in high school. I enjoyed some of the new teachers as well. All in all, not much changed, just another boring day of school. In the paragraph below I will describe what it was like when I started high school.
I can’t remember what I was wearing but it was probably jeans and a nice shirt. I’m not sure what the weather was like but most likely warm. The building was the same because it was just an extension of the high school. I saw my old friends, new classes, new teachers, etc… My classes were fairly easy except for maybe 1 or 2. I liked most of my classes. I usually ate whatever the breakfast cart had in the morning. I’d eat pizza most of the time unless there was something good in the main tray line.. I felt kind of anxious to see my friends, but I also felt kind of disappointed that school was starting again. I have no idea what songs were on the radio around that time. I have no idea what TV show would have been popular. I didn’t watch the news that day. I looked forward to a new beginning and a clean slate in high school. |
